"Ancient Knowledge" Petrified Wood Point On Leather

Introducing an amazing array of petrified wood crystal points that hang from a 2mm rustic leather cord, with a double tied knot to finish the look. The pendants measure 25" in length and are presented in a burlap bag - perfect for gifting! Petrified wood has its roots (literally) in Greek - 'petro' meaning stone or rock. It is formed when trees have fossilized over time through the process of permineralization, essentially leaving impressed minerals like quartz as a replacement for organic matter. Unlike compressions or prints, petrified wood allows you to view 3-dimensional insight into its original structure. You can find brown, yellow, red or white petrified wood varieties but can also come upon pink, orange and various colored wood fossils too. Of all of the colors available, it appears that brown is the most popular one - although other colorations display beautiful translucency & opaqueness!
